Columbia, Missouri: University City in the USA

Located halfway between Kansas City and St. Louis, in central Missouri, and six hours from Chicago, Columbia is in the heart of America. University of Barcelona 

This university ranks second in the CWUR and ARWU rankings and sixth in the QS. 

Founded in 1450, it stands out as one of the oldest universities in Spain and has several campuses throughout Barcelona. While Humanities students attend classes in the historical center, the Health Sciences campus is linked to Bellvitge Hospital. 

Its library is the second largest in the country. His illustrious former students include editor Carlos Barral and former Spanish defense minister Carme Chacón

University of Buenos Aires 

This Argentine public university occupies first place in the list of best Ibero-American universities elaborated by the QS ranking. It is among the top 10 positions in the CWUR and ARWU rankings. 

They studied and taught the five Argentine Nobel Prize winners and 16 of the country’s presidents in their classrooms. In addition, the institution is distinguished by the reception of international students. Autonomous University of Barcelona 

The Autonomous University of Barcelona appears in third place in the Ibero-American universities of the CWUR, in the fourth position of the ARWU ranking, and the seventh of the QS.

National Autonomous University of Mexico 

This university ranks second in the QS ranking of Ibero-American universities and is among the top 10 institutions in the CWUR and ARWU rankings.

Complutense University of Madrid 

This Spanish university ranks fourth in the CWUR ranking, fifth on the ARWU list, and tenth on the QS. 

Among his outstanding alumni are world-renowned writers, such as Federico García Lorca, and seven of the eight Spanish Nobel Prize winners. The institution has the largest university library in Spain, with almost three million volumes. 

Autonomous University of Madrid 

The Autonomous University of Madrid appears among the 10 best Ibero-American universities in the three rankings analyzed. 

Among the research projects driven by UAM, the Severo Ochoa Center for Molecular Biology stands out, built under this Nobel Prize in Medicine, and the Center for Entrepreneurial Initiatives (CIADE), which has already supported the creation of more than 170 companies.

University of Valencia 

Founded in 1499, the University of Valencia is one of the oldest in the world and is among the 10 best Ibero-American universities in the CWUR and ARWU rankings.

University of Granada

The University of Granada is among the top ten Ibero-American higher education institutions in the CWUR and ARWU rankings. Its level of internationalization is particularly relevant. The university is a European leader in the Erasmus + mobility program: around 10% of undergraduate students and 20% of graduate students are international students.

Its wide range of options encompasses more than 80 undergraduate courses, a hundred master’s degrees, and 28 doctoral programs.

Pontifical Catholic University of Chile

The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile is in fourth place in the QS ranking and the number 14 position of the CWUR. He stands out, especially for his investigative work. As for the areas of study, it is distinguished by the quality of teaching in Law and Education.

Chile’s current president, Sebastián Piñera, and former president Eduardo Frei Montalva are two of the institution’s notable alumni, along with the director of the Chilean Language Academy, Alfredo Matus Olivier.
